Daintree is a light, warm oak with a subtle grey undertone and gentle grain. It works with cream and warm-white walls and both light and dark furniture, and keeps open-plan spaces feeling airy. Apollo 1500 is Godfrey Hirst’s best-selling hybrid range, and Daintree is one of its 12 colours.

Where it works best

Because Apollo 1500 is waterproof and hard wearing, Daintree can run through open-plan living, kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and wet areas without a change of floor at doorways. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger, and it hides dust and pet hair better than very dark or very white floors.

Installation and care

Apollo 1500 floats over concrete slabs, tiles, timber and existing sheet flooring that is flat, dry and clean. Boards click together with the Uniclic® system and need no glue, and the attached backing means no extra underlay. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner; the PUR coating resists stains from everyday spills.

Is Apollo 1500 the same as Apollo XL?
Yes. Godfrey Hirst renamed the range; the board, colours and construction are unchanged.

Can I install it in a bathroom?
Yes. The limestone-composite core is waterproof, so it is suitable for bathrooms and laundries when installed to Godfrey Hirst’s guidelines.

Do I need underlay?
No. A 1.5mm acoustic underlay is already attached to every board.

How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 1.62m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.62.
