Silver Finch is a pale grey European oak with a washed finish. It suits Scandi and coastal-grey interiors. This colour is from the earlier Chateau Oak collection: a 14mm European oak engineered board with a 2mm oak wear layer, 8-layer matte coating and tongue-and-groove joints.

Where it works best

Silver Finch suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas, and can be laid over most existing hard floors. Engineered timber is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger and hides dust well.

Installation and care

Chateau Oak is glued or secret-nailed to a flat, dry subfloor. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a timber-floor cleaner; use felt pads under furniture and keep humidity moderate.

Yes. The top layer is 2mm European oak bonded to a engineered plywood core – the same wood as a solid floor, with far better stability.

Can it be sanded and refinished?
Yes. A 2mm wear layer allows at least one full re-sand over the life of the floor.

How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 2.08m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 2.08.
