Blackbutt Elegant is a warm honey blackbutt with a refined, even grain. It works with warm neutrals and timber joinery. Apollo Hardwood reproduces Australian species – Blackbutt and Spotted Gum – on a narrow 152mm hybrid board, with the colour variation and gum veins of the real timber. Blackbutt Elegant is one of 10 colours in the range.

Because Apollo Hardwood is waterproof and hard wearing, Blackbutt Elegant can run through open-plan living, kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and wet areas without a change of floor at doorways. Its mid tone is the most forgiving choice for everyday marks and suits almost any wall colour.

Installation and care

Apollo Hardwood floats over concrete slabs, tiles, timber and existing sheet flooring that is flat, dry and clean. Boards click together with the Unipush® tap fold-down system and need no glue, and the attached backing means no extra underlay. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Yes. The limestone-composite core is waterproof, so it is suitable for bathrooms and laundries when installed to Godfrey Hirst’s guidelines.

Do I need underlay?
No. A 1.5mm acoustic underlay is already attached to every board.

How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 1.67m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.67.
