Riverhill iDesign Chevron Light Malt – light golden oak engineered timber flooring
Light Malt is the light golden oak colour in the iDesign Chevron range. iDesign Chevron is Riverhill’s pre-cut engineered oak chevron block: a 3mm European oak lamella on a stable core, brushed and UV lacquered, supplied as matching left and right pieces ready to lay in a chevron pattern. Light Malt is one of 8 colours in the range.
Why choose iDesign Chevron Light Malt
- Real genuine European oak wear layer – genuine timber that can be re-sanded and refinished later in life.
- Engineered multi-layer core – a stable multi-layer engineered core.
- Brushed UV lacquer finish – a low-sheen brushed factory finish that highlights the timber’s grain.
- Direct stick or nailed down – glued or secret-nailed to a flat, dry subfloor in a chevron pattern – not suitable for floating installation.

Where it works best
Light Malt suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas. Engineered timber is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger and hides dust well.
Installation and care
iDesign Chevron is laid on a flat, dry subfloor. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a timber-floor cleaner; use felt pads under furniture.

Frequently asked questions
Is this real timber?
Yes. The top layer is genuine European oak bonded to an engineered core – the same wood as a solid floor, with far better stability.
Can it be sanded and refinished?
Yes, the timber wear layer allows refinishing over the life of the floor.
How many cartons do I need?
Each carton covers 1.36m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.36.
