XL Spotted Gum is the warm red-brown spotted gum colour in the NFD Daintree engineered timber range. A 15mm board with a 2mm wear layer and brushed matte finish, it suits living areas, bedrooms and hallways. 1900 x 136mm (Daintree) or 1900 x 190mm (Daintree XL), 2.06m² or 2.17m² (6 planks) per carton, 20-year residential, 5-year commercial warranty.

XL Spotted Gum is the warm red-brown spotted gum colour in NFD’s Daintree range. Daintree is NFD’s Australian-species engineered timber: a 2mm hardwood veneer on a 15mm engineered board with a brushed matte finish, in standard 136mm and XL 190mm widths. XL Spotted Gum is one of 3 colours in the range.

Where it works best

XL Spotted Gum suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas, and can be laid over most existing hard floors. Engineered timber is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its mid tone is the most forgiving choice for everyday marks and suits almost any wall colour.

Installation and care

Daintree floats over a flat, dry subfloor on underlay or is glued down. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a timber-floor cleaner; use felt pads under furniture and keep humidity moderate.

Yes. The top layer is 2mm bonded to an engineered core – the same wood as a solid floor, with far better stability.

Can it be sanded and refinished?
Yes. The 2mm wear layer allows refinishing over the life of the floor.

How many cartons do I need?
Each carton covers 2.06m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 2.1.
