Solar Drift is a light natural oak with a soft, even colour. It is the versatile all-rounder of the range and works with almost any wall colour. Zenith 1800 is Godfrey Hirst’s premium hybrid: a 10mm board with an aerated acoustic core, long 1800 x 225mm planks and an embossed-in-register surface where the texture follows the printed grain. Solar Drift is one of 12 colours in the range.

Where it works best

Because Zenith 1800 is waterproof and hard wearing, Solar Drift can run through open-plan living, kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and wet areas without a change of floor at doorways. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger and hides dust and pet hair better than very dark floors.

Installation and care

Zenith 1800 floats over concrete slabs, tiles, timber and existing sheet flooring that is flat, dry and clean. Boards click together with the Uniclic® watertight system and need no glue, and the attached backing means no extra underlay. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Can I install it in a bathroom?
Yes. The limestone-composite core is waterproof, so it is suitable for bathrooms and laundries when installed to Godfrey Hirst’s guidelines.

Do I need underlay?
No. A 1.5mm acoustic underlay is already attached to every board.

How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 1.62m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.62.
