Godfrey Hirst Vista 1500 Mallee Gum – warm mid-brown gum laminate flooring
Mallee Gum is a warm mid-brown Australian gum look. It suits classic and family interiors. Vista 1500 is the long-board format of Godfrey Hirst’s Vista laminate: an 8mm AC4 board on an 860kg/m³ high-density fibreboard core with Uniclic® joints. Mallee Gum is one of 10 colours in the range.
Why choose Vista 1500 Mallee Gum
- AC4 wear rating – a commercial-grade rating that shrugs off pets, kids and heavy foot traffic.
- High-density fibreboard core – stable, dense and quiet underfoot; not for bathrooms or laundries.
- Realistic timber look – embossed matte surface and micro-bevel edges give each plank the texture and shadow line of a real board.
- Uniclic® floating installation – boards click together over underlay; no glue, fast installation, easy to replace a board later.
- 20-year residential warranty from Godfrey Hirst, an Australian company since 1865.

Where it works best
Mallee Gum suits bedrooms, living rooms, hallways and home offices. Laminate is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its mid tone is the most forgiving choice for everyday marks and suits almost any wall colour.
Installation and care
Vista 1500 floats over a flat, dry subfloor on a laminate underlay and needs no glue. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a laminate cleaner – avoid steam mops and standing water.
