Godfrey Hirst Metropol 1500 Burl Oak Hybrid Flooring

Godfrey Hirst Metropol 1500 Burl Oak – mid-brown oak hybrid flooring

Burl Oak is a mid-brown oak with burl figuring and darker knots. It suits traditional and rustic-modern interiors. Metropol 1500 is a wide-board 6.5mm hybrid in natural timber hues – strong, stable and easy to install. Burl Oak is one of 12 colours in the range.

Why choose Metropol 1500 Burl Oak

• Waterproof hybrid construction – Trigon® limestone-composite core that will not swell or warp, so it can be laid throughout the home including kitchens, laundries and bathrooms.
• 0.5mm wear layer with PUR coating – built for pets, kids and high-traffic living areas.
• Realistic timber look – embossed matte surface and micro-bevel edges give each plank the texture and shadow line of a real timber board.
• Quiet underfoot – 1.5mm acoustic backing is pre-attached, so no separate underlay is needed.
• Uniclic® watertight locking – floats over most existing hard floors; no glue, fast installation.
• 25-year residential warranty from Godfrey Hirst, an Australian company since 1865.

Where it works best

Because Metropol 1500 is waterproof and hard wearing, Burl Oak can run through open-plan living, kitchens, hallways, bedrooms and wet areas without a change of floor at doorways. Its mid tone is the most forgiving choice for everyday marks and suits almost any wall colour.

Installation and care

Metropol 1500 floats over concrete slabs, tiles, timber and existing sheet flooring that is flat, dry and clean. Boards click together with the Uniclic® watertight system and need no glue, and the attached backing means no extra underlay. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.
