Cemimax Ultramax MS – one-component timber flooring adhesive
Ultramax MS is a one-component adhesive based on hybrid silyl-modified polymers: the strength of polyurethane with the flexibility and faster cure of silicone, and none of the mixing. It is the adhesive we recommend for glue-down engineered timber, parquetry and bamboo.
Key features
- Ready to use, no mixing or hardener
- Moisture vapour control up to 85% RH or 8% CM in the subfloor
- Acoustic properties reduce impact noise through the floor
- Highly flexible – absorbs subfloor movement and reduces stress on the boards
- Suitable over underfloor heating
- Excellent beading stability for a consistent trowel pattern
Where to use it
Bonding engineered timber, solid timber, parquetry and bamboo to concrete, screed, plywood, particleboard and levelling compounds.
How to use it
Subfloor must be clean, dry, sound and level (any levelling compound at least 2mm thick). Spread with a notched trowel, lay boards into wet adhesive within the open time and keep weighted or clamped for the first hours. Clean tools with mineral turps before cure.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a moisture barrier as well?
Not on slabs up to 85% RH / 8% CM – Ultramax MS controls moisture vapour itself. Above that, treat the slab first.
Can I use it for hybrid or vinyl?
No. Use Cemimax A2000 for vinyl and let hybrid float; Ultramax MS is for timber products.
