Riverhill iDesign Herringbone Apollo Grey – dark grey oak engineered timber flooring
Apollo Grey is the dark grey oak colour in the iDesign Herringbone range. iDesign Herringbone is Riverhill’s pre-cut engineered oak herringbone block: a 3mm European oak lamella on a stable core, brushed and UV lacquered, supplied as matching left and right pieces ready to lay in a herringbone pattern. Apollo Grey is one of 10 colours in the range.
Why choose iDesign Herringbone Apollo Grey
- Real genuine European oak wear layer – genuine timber that can be re-sanded and refinished later in life.
- Engineered multi-layer core – a stable multi-layer engineered core.
- Brushed UV lacquer finish – a low-sheen brushed factory finish that highlights the timber’s grain.
- Direct stick or nailed down – glued or secret-nailed to a flat, dry subfloor in a herringbone pattern – not suitable for floating installation.
- 25-year residential, lifetime structural warranty from Riverhill.

Where it works best
Apollo Grey suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas. Engineered timber is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its dark tone works best in bright, generous rooms and gives strong contrast to pale walls and light furniture.
Installation and care
iDesign Herringbone is laid on a flat, dry subfloor. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a timber-floor cleaner; use felt pads under furniture.

Frequently asked questions
Is this real timber?
Yes. The top layer is genuine European oak bonded to an engineered core – the same wood as a solid floor, with far better stability.
Can it be sanded and refinished?
Yes, the timber wear layer allows refinishing over the life of the floor.
How many cartons do I need?
Each carton covers 1.2m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.2.
