Godfrey Hirst Corsica Chevron Natural Oak Brush – natural golden oak, brushed engineered timber flooring
Natural Oak Brush is a natural golden French oak with a lightly brushed texture. It is the classic all-rounder of the range. Corsica Chevron is the chevron version of Corsica Oak: angle-cut 620 x 125mm French oak blocks in left- and right-hand sets for a continuous V-pattern floor. Natural Oak Brush is one of 4 colours in the range.
Why choose Corsica Chevron Natural Oak Brush
- Real 3mm French oak wear layer – genuine timber that can be re-sanded and refinished later in life.
- multiply core – far more stable than solid timber, so boards resist cupping and gapping through Australian seasons.
- matte with light brushing – low-sheen, low-maintenance and ready to walk on straight after installation.
- tongue-and-groove, glued down installation – traditional joints for a solid, permanent floor.
- 25-year residential warranty from Godfrey Hirst, an Australian company since 1865.

Where it works best
Natural Oak Brush suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and dining areas, and can be laid over most existing hard floors. Engineered timber is not recommended for bathrooms or laundries. Its mid tone is the most forgiving choice for everyday marks and suits almost any wall colour.
Installation and care
Corsica Chevron is glued or secret-nailed to a flat, dry subfloor. Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a timber-floor cleaner; use felt pads under furniture and keep humidity moderate.

Frequently asked questions
Is this real timber?
Yes. The top layer is 3mm French oak bonded to a multiply core – the same wood as a solid floor, with far better stability.
Can it be sanded and refinished?
Yes. A 3mm wear layer allows at least one full re-sand over the life of the floor.
How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 1.55m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 1.55.
