Godfrey Hirst Aquila Wood Milton – pale grey oak vinyl plank flooring
Milton is a pale grey oak with a washed, airy look. It keeps rooms light and suits Scandi and coastal styles. Aquila Wood is Godfrey Hirst’s premium vinyl plank: a wide 235mm board with a modern oak palette plus Australian species designs, micro-bevel edges and a scratch- and slip-resistant surface. Milton is one of 12 colours in the range.
Why choose Aquila Wood Milton
- 100% waterproof glue-down vinyl – suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and whole-home installs; spills and wet feet are no problem.
- 0.55mm wear layer – a commercial-grade wear layer with a scratch- and stain-resistant coating, built for pets, kids and high-traffic areas.
- P3 slip rating (AS 4586) – suitable for residential wet areas.
- Realistic timber look – embossed matte surface with micro-bevel edges for a natural finish.
- Direct-stick installation – glued to a flat, dry subfloor for a solid, quiet floor with no hollow sound; thin profile means minimal height build-up at doorways.
- 25-year residential warranty from Godfrey Hirst, an Australian company since 1865.

Where it works best
Because Aquila Wood is waterproof and glued down, Milton suits kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, hallways and living areas, and is a popular choice for rentals, granny flats and commercial fit-outs. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger and hides dust well.
Installation and care
Aquila Wood is a direct-stick product: the subfloor must be flat, dry and smooth (concrete slabs usually need a levelling compound), and the planks are glued with a pressure-sensitive vinyl adhesive. We recommend professional installation. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Frequently asked questions
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Vinyl plank is 100% waterproof and suitable for bathrooms and laundries when installed to Godfrey Hirst’s guidelines.
Can I lay it myself?
Glue-down vinyl needs a properly prepared subfloor and the right adhesive, so most customers use an installer. Ask us for a supply-and-install price.
How many boxes do I need?
Each box covers 2.12m². Measure your room area, add about 10% for cuts and wastage, and divide by 2.12.
