Godfrey Hirst Aquila Stone Pepper Sand – warm sand stone vinyl tile flooring
Pepper Sand is a warm sand-coloured stone look with a fine, even surface. It suits warm neutral schemes. Aquila Stone brings stone, marble and terrazzo looks to a glue-down vinyl tile with a 0.55mm wear layer – warm underfoot, waterproof and with none of the grout maintenance of real tile. Pepper Sand is one of 8 colours in the range.
Why choose Aquila Stone Pepper Sand
- 100% waterproof glue-down vinyl – suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and whole-home installs; spills and wet feet are no problem.
- 0.55mm wear layer – a commercial-grade wear layer with a scratch- and stain-resistant coating, built for pets, kids and high-traffic areas.
- P3 slip rating (AS 4586) – suitable for residential wet areas.
- Realistic stone look – embossed matte surface with micro-bevel edges for a natural finish.
- Direct-stick installation – glued to a flat, dry subfloor for a solid, quiet floor with no hollow sound; thin profile means minimal height build-up at doorways.
- 25-year residential warranty from Godfrey Hirst, an Australian company since 1865.

Where it works best
Because Aquila Stone is waterproof and glued down, Pepper Sand suits kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, hallways and living areas, and is a popular choice for rentals, granny flats and commercial fit-outs. Its light tone helps smaller or south-facing rooms feel larger and hides dust well.
Installation and care
Aquila Stone is a direct-stick product: the subfloor must be flat, dry and smooth (concrete slabs usually need a levelling compound), and the tiles are glued with a pressure-sensitive vinyl adhesive. We recommend professional installation. Sweep or vacuum regularly and damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner.

Frequently asked questions
Is it waterproof?
Yes. Vinyl plank is 100% waterproof and suitable for bathrooms and laundries when installed to Godfrey Hirst’s guidelines.
Can I lay it myself?
Glue-down vinyl needs a properly prepared subfloor and the right adhesive, so most customers use an installer. Ask us for a supply-and-install price.
How many boxes do I need?
