Cemimax Floating Master is an advanced cement and polymer-based self-smoothing and levelling compound designed for interior floor preparation before the installation of vinyl, carpet, tile and other floor coverings. Developed for experienced commercial contractors, Floating Master is particularly suited to smoothing and levelling large commercial and retail areas where a smooth, consistent and durable substrate is required.
Formulated with finely graded fillers and polymer technology, Cemimax Floating Master mixes with water to create a hydraulic-setting compound with good flow properties and high coverage. It can be applied from 1mm to 10mm in a single application and is suitable for both hand-mix and pump application. Its rapid-hardening performance allows the surface to become walkable in approximately 2 hours, helping reduce installation downtime.
Floating Master provides approximately 4m² coverage per 20kg bag at a 3mm application thickness. The recommended mixing ratio is 5.0–5.3 litres of clean water per 20kg bag, with an open working time of approximately 20–30 minutes. Once fully dry, the surface is suitable for the installation of floor coverings.
