Before your flooring inspection appointment

Please review the following requirements so our inspector can properly assess, measure and discuss the flooring work required.

1. Property access
The inspector must be able to access the property and all areas that are to be inspected, measured or included in the proposed flooring work.

2. Areas must be reasonably accessible
Please ensure the relevant flooring areas can be reasonably accessed. Items that prevent an area from being inspected or measured may limit what can be assessed during the appointment.

3. Pets and safety
Pets should be safely secured where necessary. Please advise the inspector of any hazards, restricted-access areas or other conditions that may affect safe access to the property.

4. Existing and hidden conditions
The inspection can only assess conditions that are reasonably visible and accessible at the time. Conditions concealed beneath existing flooring, furniture, fixtures or other materials may not be identifiable until later work begins.

5. Measurements and product suitability
Measurements and flooring recommendations are based on the conditions observed during the appointment. Final quantities, installation requirements and product suitability remain subject to verification where necessary.

6. Changes discovered after inspection
If site conditions later prove different from those visible during the inspection, additional preparation, materials, labour or other work may be required. Any resulting variation should be discussed before the additional work proceeds.

7. Appointment changes
If you can no longer attend or provide access for the scheduled appointment, please contact us as early as possible so the appointment can be rescheduled.
